Michael J. Kalsher - FPG Chair
Michael Kalsher is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Cognitive Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the principal of Kalsher & Associates, LLC. He received his Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology from Virginia Tech. His research interests focus on human factors issues, including development and evaluation of warnings and instructions, allocation of blame for consumer product injuries, and the use of emerging technologies to enhance safety in a wide range of civilian and military settings. Marc L. Resnick - Program Chair
Marc Resnick is a professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Director of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Laboratory at Florida International University. He provides forensic and engineering consulting in the areas of ergonomics, safety, and productivity management. He has published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings and is an active member of HFES and the Institute for Industrial Engineers. Send email

S. David Leonard - Secretary-Treasurer
Dr. S. David Leonard has been involved in the field of Human Factors for approximately 50 years. His primary research involves the knowledge of the public about hazards and the appropriate sorts of warnings associated with various hazards. He has been involved in a variety of legal cases with respect to these areas. Send email

Kenneth Nemire - Newsletter Editor
Kenneth Nemire is the principal of HFE Consulting. He has conducted basic and applied research on visual and spatial perception, visual motor coordination and human-machine interaction. Dr. Nemire has provided human factors consulting to attorneys and insurance companies for personal injury and product liability litigation for over 15 years, primarily in cases involving falls, vehicle collisions and workplace injuries. He earned a B.Sci. in Psychobiology from University of California in Riverside, a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from University of California in Santa Cruz, and CPE certification. Send email
